A Little Disneyland History

Survey markers played an important role in the planning and construction of Disneyland. Surveyors used fixed reference points to establish precise locations, measure distances and elevations, and guide the placement of buildings, roads, and other structures.

These markers helped ensure that the imaginative designs of Walt Disney and his team could be accurately translated into the physical park that millions of guests have enjoyed since 1955.
